Ambistik

  • Automated BTPS Correction: Continuously feeds environmental data to BLUE CHERRY® to automatically calculate the Body Temperature, Pressure, and Saturated correction for every test.
  • Three-in-One Monitoring: A single, compact device that measures temperature, barometric pressure, and humidity with medical-grade precision.
  • Elimination of Manual Errors: Removes the need for manual entry of environmental conditions, reducing the risk of human error and streamlining the clinical workflow.
  • Enhanced Diagnostic Integrity: Prevents result deviations caused by even minor fluctuations in ambient temperature, ensuring highly reproducible data.
  • Atmospheric Compensation: Automatically accounts for altitude-related pressure changes and oxygen concentration differences, making it ideal for clinics in any geographical location.
  • Seamless USB Integration: Features a simple “plug-and-play” USB connection, allowing for instant setup and continuous background operation within your diagnostic suite.

The Ambistik is a high-precision, USB-based module designed to monitor environmental conditions temperature, barometric pressure, and humidity with total accuracy. This data is continuously fed into the BLUE CHERRY® software suite, enabling the system to perform real-time BTPS (Body Temperature, Pressure, and Saturated) corrections.

Why Environmental Accuracy Matters In pulmonary function testing, precision is paramount. Lung function is measured at a constant body temperature of 37°C. As exhaled air cools, its volume decreases; even a small temperature variance of 2°C can result in a 1% deviation in measured results.

Furthermore, atmospheric pressure—which fluctuates significantly between sea level and high altitudes—and humidity levels directly impact gas volume and oxygen concentration. Without accurate, real-time correction for these variables, diagnostic data can be compromised. The Ambistik eliminates this risk by providing a continuous stream of ambient data, ensuring every measurement is standardised and clinically valid.
